I think that it is false advertising to call this Magnetic Thinking Putty. Granted, it is magnetic, and we have some footage of this thing following a magnet. However, it isn’t thinking: “hey, a magnet, I think I’ll follow it”. No, this is physics that draws it, not any psychology.

I have a video of it essentially consuming a magnet that was put on it. Watch it after the jump, and try not to think of any Terminator 2 villains.

Top of the week seems to be into audio technology with the launch of the Sony and Genius, which is why I propose to know what May … heard (literally) by the market.

Sony comes with three new headphone models, covering about all types of design, open, closed and in-ear.

MDR-570 promotes a modern urban style with an elegant look and easy it is shown very thin head band and soft urethane flags for convenience of use increased. The user can enjoy great sound quality thanks to extended frequency response with the 30mm Neodymium speaker that can cope with overall power of 1000mW. Sony has its own concept for Micro Four Thirds format

Ordinary user is demanding. A DSLR is too big and too difficult for many owners of compact cameras. In an attempt to reconcile the goat and cabbage, Olympus and Panasonic have developed the Micro Four Thirds format, a size acceptable and taken from a DSLR sensor. Sony has been so far little more conservative, but you can not survive in a market so competitive and if you have similar products with the competition. So make that after their first waterproof camera and other harsh environments, the Japanese manufacturer introduced the concept of a room PMA EVIL (Electronic Viewfinder, Interchangeable Lenses).

First 1080/60p video camera come from Panasonic

You can see the first video camera able to shoot 1080p at 60 fps using a 3MOS sensor, according to those of Panasonic. In fact, are the first two of these camera videos: HDC-HS700 and HDC-TM700, both being released in Japan. The two models differ in storage capacity, the 240GB for HS700, from 32GB to TM700.

Rathakrishna Chandra, CEO Fusion Garage, confirmed the technical requirements, among which a 12-inch screen, full Flash support, direct access to YouTube HD and internet connection. The company also has a store of applications, which, according to officials, would be higher than Apple’s App Store.

Tablet PC, and got its name from the word of African origin “juojuo” which means “magic”. Joojoo can play wide 16:9 format and the company plans to launch a new online store where users can buy special applications for their device.

Samsung has released to market this weeks series of hard drives F3EG that have a high storage capacity of 1.5 TB or 2TB, each divided into four 500 GB platters. It was natural that, after Sony has promised it will filming football World Cup this year with 3D technology and 3D Avatar made waves around the world, to witness the exponential growth of the segment’s 3D LCD TVs. So the people at Samsung, always thirsty for marketing records, are the first, they say, starting the production of 3D TV.

Initially, Samsung will produce three types of TVs: 40, 46 and 55 inches. All three versions will be based 3D technology assets Glass, the current standard in the field.

Surely, Samsung will be the only manufacturer that will take 3D TV segment. Will be followed closely and other sharks.

The desk of the future: Pictionaire

Now that the iPad has been formally announced, let’s take it a step further with this iDesk. Actually, the technology that you see in this picture is called the Pictionaire, and it is under development by Microsoft Research and the University of California, Berkeley.

As you can see from the attached video after the jump, this 4 x 6 foot table has a camera mounted above it, much like the futuristic hexagonal-type board game that we reported on yesterday.

The user has the power to place a physical object on the Pictionaire, and, with a little drag-and-drop gesture, he or she will have a digital copy of that item. The original physical object can be moved, and the digital copy can be traced onto a whiteboard or a sketchpad.

The user also has the option of putting a wireless keyboard on the table, and the table can become a display. From what it looks like in the video, the user can type in a keyword and get the image that he or she is looking for, maybe from the objects that were on the Pictionaire before.

It reminds of a desk I saw in The Island. Some of you might not remember this film, because it was an intelligent Michael Bay film that didn’t involve giant robots beating each other up. I believe that the villain in The Island had a desk with projections, and he even had Ewan McGregor draw on it with a virtual stylus. You know that desks like this will be in offices of the future, unless the companies can afford a Surface.

The 40GB Intel SSD’s role as a system boot drive is mirrored in it’s cost, as it’s priced is just over $120 on Amazon.

They say television adds at least about 10 kg. If true, about the same make and monitor, we all saw different pictures of the new Zune HD from every angle, from the start. DisplayLink officials say that 4.8Gbps are more than enough to transmit any sort of video to display of any size and resolution. While this is apparent, the peculiar thing is that they are into a bit of a split with what the first video carrying chip was designed for. That was designed to replace VGA and DVI ports with a standard USB hub. This is what USB itself is for – combining all the different types of ports at the back of your computer into one easy to use, small and fast port. The next USB chip that is coming is planed primarily for notebooks. Latest AMD and Intel powered machines are fully capable of providing adequate gaming experience as well as decoding H.264 so constant need to plug and unplug a display at work, home, elsewhere is more likely to happen rather than with a desktop.

It has a built in 650mAh battery which you charge by pulling. It then has a MiniUSB connector to charge your phone. Sadly I could not find any information on how many times you need to pull the cord to make a significant charge. I remember BlackBerry Cool reviewed such a device a bit back and they had to crank it for 15 minutes for it to make a dent.
